Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or a date into a search tool here, that input goes to the outside provider that runs the search. The provider processes it and returns results. We do not log or store the terms you type on our end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply. It stays with our team, and we do not share it outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page here loads, our servers record some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- The browser you use and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- Which pages you viewed and how long each stayed open
- The site that referred you here, if any
- A timestamp for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device that show us how visitors move through the site, which pages draw traffic, and where people leave. Analytics services help us combine that traffic data. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Routing your search request to the right partner service
- Learning which pages are useful and which need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Showing advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell warrant databases or personal warrant records. We publish general guidance about where Alcona County court and law-enforcement records are held and how to reach the offices that keep them. Administrative records held by county offices are governed by the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, PA 442 of 1976, MCL 15.231 et seq., while court files follow court-record rules instead. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file about a third party.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes here are run by outside companies. Anything you type into one is processed under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners set their own retention and sharing rules, and we do not control them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link to court pages, Sheriff's Office pages, state agencies, and third-party search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then applies. Read it before sharing personal details.
Some advertising partners may track activity across sites to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may reach:
- The search partners that handle queries you run here
- Analytics services that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices for the data we collect. No internet service is invulnerable, so we work to protect your information without promising that a breach can never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, Michigan law and other consumer-protection rules may give you rights over your data. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy over time. When we do, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date, so check back if you want to follow how your information is handled.
Effective date: September 15, 2026
